Congratulations to Travis who competed at the 2024 European Triathle & Laser Run Championships in Madeira in July and became a TRIPLE GOLD European champion. The Year 10 pupil won the individual U15 Laser Run and Triathle events against tough competition from Hungary and France. He also took the gold with his relay partner, Ruby in the Triathle relay event.
Later in July, Travis was selected to represent Hampshire at the prestigious English Schools Championships in Birmingham, in the 1500m event. He is currently ranked in the top 7 athletes in Great Britain after setting a new national record at the ISA national track championships earlier this year. Travis continued his success when he finished the track season with a personal best of 4.08 in 1500m. He broke the Basingstoke Mid Hants Athletics Club record previously set by GB Olympian, Ben Pattison.
During August, Travis became the U15 National Biathle Champion. He was also selected to represent the Saltires at the 2024 National School Games Championships at Loughborough University, winning a silver medal for his team in the new Modern Pentathlon format.
Well done, Travis!
