Sherfield’s vision for Inclusive Education is that we achieve excellence together, by providing a safe and effective environment where every member of our community feels valued, engages purposefully in their learning and is able to thrive.

At Sherfield we put the students at the heart of our holistic approach that focuses on individual development, talents, ability and interests. We take every step to ensure that all pupils experience academic, physical, cultural, social and emotional success in their own unique way.

We welcome children with a range of learning preferences and celebrate diversity supporting pupils as necessary using teaching strategies tailored to meet the diverse range of our learners. We provide early-targeted support for any learner who needs additional help. This approach combined with support from a range of trained professionals helps to support and promote good mental health and wellbeing.

To help use gain a clear understanding of your child’s needs please share full details of any additional educational needs (MAT, SEND, EAL), Support Profiles and any Educational Psychologist, Paediatric, or other specialist reports (e.g., Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy) that you may have with us. Sharing educational history with us prior to a place being offered is essential so that we are able to assess whether we can meet your child’s needs.

If during their time at Sherfield it becomes apparent that we are not best placed to support an individuals needs we will work closely with the family to find an alternative suitable supportive learning environment.
