Guidance and Support Through Every Stage
- Year 9: Students receive tailored guidance to make informed decisions as they select their GCSE options for Year 10.
- Years 12 and 13: Specialist support is provided to assist students with their higher education and training applications.
Flexible and Diverse GCSE Programs
We offer flexible GCSE courses with no compulsory options, allowing students to tailor their education to their interests and strengths. In addition to core subjects like Maths, English Literature and Language, and Science, students typically choose four additional options from a wide array of subjects, including:
- Humanities
- Arts
- Drama
- Technology
- Physical Education
- Languages
We also provide opportunities to study unique subjects such as:
- Psychology
- Classical Civilisation
- Media Studies
- Economics
- Astronomy
More able students may opt to take one or two GCSE exams in Year 10, further customising their academic journey.
Pupils join the Senior School from Year 9 and naturally progress into the Sixth Form; seamlessly continuing to build on and carry forward their learning and experiences.
In addition to our own pupils who have excelled in the journey from Early Years, Junior and Senior Prep to Senior, we also welcome pupils who have completed their preparatory education at other schools and would like to complete their GCSE and A Levels at Sherfield. A number of overseas pupils join into our Senior School also, allowing our Seniors and Sixth Formers to benefit from cultural learning experiences.
