Boarding at Sherfield School

Sherfield offers full boarding, weekly and flexi boarding options. Parents of current day pupils who are interested in booking or getting more information about flexi-boarding should contact Admissions using the following email address admissions@sherfieldschool.co.uk.

From September 2019, we will also be offering a 'pick up and return' service from South and South West London for weekly boarders to enjoy our beautiful countryside location during the week and the city at weekends - the best of both worlds. For more information please contact Admissions.

Archer's Lodge

The new purpose built boarding house, Archer's Lodge, has 60 en-suite rooms for boarders from Year 5 upwards. The hotel style rooms include internet access, study area, a comfortable bed or bunks, bedside cabinet/chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a spacious en-suite bathroom.

Boys' and girls' bedrooms and bathrooms are located in separate wings for privacy.

Boarders have a resident House Master, a House Parent and other live-in tutors. Further boarding tutors live on school site. The House Master is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of boarders and the boarding staff team work closely with the House Master over weekends and evenings. Please see our Statement of Boarding Principles and Practices and Guardians and Lodgings policy.

Generously-sized common rooms with living, dining and kitchen facilities are available on each floor with comfortable seating, video and digital TV, board games and books. The moment the sun is out, the terrace is well used with shaded tables and seating. We encourage a home-from-home atmosphere so boarders mix and feel part of a family. In the evenings and at weekends, there is a varied and fun schedule of trips and activities organised so boarders can make the most of school facilities and the location - set in beautiful countryside, close to London and the coast.

If you are interested in finding out more about how your child could flourish with boarding, or you are interested in registering for the 'pick up and return' service from 2019, please fill in the registration contact form and our admissions team will be in contact.

The Parent and Pupil Boarding Handbook contains useful information for parents and pupils boarding at the school. If you have any additional queries please contact the Boarding Team.
