Experiencing British Culture – a Trip to Ascot

On Saturday 13 May Archers Lodge descended on Ascot. We always match our activities with opportunities to learn and this was a trip that had been eagerly anticipated by out pupils. With the dress codes adhered too and our electronic tickets in our hand we set off for the “airport security” gates and a ‘Top Hat’ tour.

The day provided a great deal with a Take That tribute band and plentiful suppliers of food and drink.

Always time for an ice cream! Ruyi with Derek.

When asked if they would come back at the end of the day – there was a unanimous yes!

Race Number 5! Staff were not so lucky! Mr. Jones had a near miss but Messrs Mason and Macmillan lost on the first speculation
