During Design and Technology lessons year 7 students have been working in teams to create model rocket cars. This was part of a national scheme sponsored by the RAF, Army and Navy and linked to the Bloodhound SSC.
On Thursday 22 March the students got to race their cars and see if they had been able to apply all they had learnt about aerodynamics and acceleration. We welcomed the RAF from Odiham to run the race and it was a great experience for the all the students.
The winning team comprised of Les M, Stella W, Stevie-Leigh C and Ben W. These students will be taking part in the regional competition on 24 April which will be held at RAF Odiham.
