Year 10 Tried out vacuum moulding with Mr Marshall this week, a simplified version of thermoforming, where a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature and then forced against the mould by a vacuum. He demonstrated creating a face mask but also talked about other applications including moulding panels for creating model cars.
