One of our GCSE students, Tom, has pitched a creative bench design to local councillors in Basingstoke. Tom took part in a summer workshop that was aimed at engaging young people to create a bench that would have a lasting legacy within the new communities at Manydown.
Tom's poppy bench design will be considered by a committee at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for the new Manydown housing development. The Manydown development will consist of up to 3520 new homes in the area.The design will be reviewed with the potential of the poppy bench being built and placed within this new development.
