Yesterday 30 pupils from Year 6 to Year 13 were involved in a fantastic peer mentor training day from anti-bullying charity Kidscape.
Some of the kinds of things they learnt included
- Exploring the Peer Mentoring process including the benefits and key responsibilities
- Recognising personal qualities and skills
- Having a greater awareness of safeguarding procedures
- Increased confidence to communicate and listen effectively
- Promote wellbeing and positive mental health
It was a full day of interactive training and all the pupils left with the knowledge, skills and tools to become confident Peer Mentors.
