On Thursday we were very proud of our team of 16 pupils that ran in the Basingstoke Schools Teams at the Hampshire Schools Cross Country Championships held at Down Grange.
Year 6
Aabha K and Bethy L ran in the girls race with Aabha managing to get a top 20 place in Hampshire. Bethy was tripped along with 2 other Basingstoke team mates but was awesome and straight back up on her feet to catch the pack of runners. Luke W managed a top 10 place in 9th and Hudson S did very well to continue the race after being elbowed in the face.
Year 7
Siobhan H and Maya W ran really well in the girls race. Dylan E just missed out on a bronze medal in 4th with Douglas M and Alex W running great races behind him.
Year 8
Evie B returned from injury to manage to race in a very high level field with Alara W and Tallulah S running really well. Caiden G took the race out with a very fast start and just missed out on the bronze medal in 4th place. Lachlan H and Filip K also had great races on a very hot day!
