GCSE Programs
“Fantastic school. Fabulous teachers.”
We pride ourselves on delivering a dynamic and comprehensive academic curriculum designed to inspire, challenge, and support our students as they prepare for their futures.
Our senior school curriculum offers a blend of traditional and innovative subjects, fostering intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. The curriculum is used as a minimum framework, which we extend in many different ways to provide a variety of courses and qualifications.
A number of different curriculum pathways are offered in the Seniors, which ensure that pupils study courses suited to their aptitudes and abilities.
In Year 10, students embark on their GCSE courses, choosing subjects that match their interests and career aspirations.
Our core curriculum includes English Language and Literature, Mathematics and Science (combined science - 2 GCSEs or triple science - 3 GCSEs)
GCSE OPTIONS
Alongside core subjects, students benefit from diverse options to personalise their learning experience. In Modern Foreign Languages, they can choose between French and Spanish, while Humanities offers History, Geography, and Classical Civilisation, broadening their understanding of cultures and the past.
Students can explore their creative side with subjects like Art, Photography, Drama, and Music or develop practical skills in Design and Technology and Computer Science. For those interested in Social Sciences, options include Business Studies, Economics, and Psychology, while Physical Education combines both practical and theoretical elements to encourage a well-rounded education.
