Who is the Open Evening for?
Whether you’re considering joining us from another school, or currently in Year 11 at Sherfield, come and discover what your Sixth Form experience could look like.
What to expect at the Open Evening
- A welcome from our Head of Sixth Form, alongside our Head Prefects.
- A student and parent panel offering real insight into life at Sherfield Sixth Form.
- The chance to meet Heads of Department, explore subject content, and hear from current Sixth Form students.
- Examples of recent alumni pathways, showcasing onward study and career success.
- Information on our wide-ranging enrichment, higher education and careers provision, and student support.
- Refreshments and an opportunity to tour our dedicated Sixth Form facilities.
Event Schedule
- 6:00 – 6:15 pm: Arrival and refreshments in the Sofa Room and Orangery
- 6:15 – 6:55 pm: Welcome Address and Panel Discussion in the Auditorium
- 6:55 – 8:00 pm: Departmental conversations and guided tours of our dedicated Sixth Form spaces
2026 High achievers
In 2026, 45% of all A-Level and BTEC grades were achieved at A* to A or equivalent. 25% were awarded at the very highest level of A* or equivalent.
Successful leavers
In 2026, our students secured places at Durham, St Andrews, Bristol, Southampton, Exeter, Liverpool, Queen Mary University of London, Surrey, Reading, East Anglia, Swansea and UWE Bristol.
