Congratulations to Ava in Year 11 who competed in the Junior Ladies Figure Skating Open, in Guildford. On the Tuesday she performed in the short program, scoring a new personal best of 38.69 which was enough to secure first place out of sixteen other competitors. On the second day Ava performed in the Free category, scoring 72.12 which not only ensured that she took first place again but was also another personal best.
After Ava received her trophies, it was straight back into the car for a road trip to Hasselt, Belgium where Ava competed in an International (ISU) competition.
Competing against other figure skaters from across Europe and the rest of the World, Ava recorded another personal best in the short program of 40.94 which secured fifth place on the first day.
On the second day, Ava scored 72.59, another personal best which secured seventh spot out of twenty-six competitors.
Well done, Ava for a very successful week marked full of PBs!
