Enrichment is at the heart of Sherfield ensuring that every child is able to develop to his or her full potential both academically and personally.
Karen Chard (Deputy Principal - Primary, and Head of Enrichment) leads the Enrichment Department under the direction of Professor Pat Preedy. She is supported by Rich Robson (Assistant Principal) who is responsible for Teaching and Learning and professional development.

The Enrichment Department is responsible for:
- the curriculum, teaching and learning including homework; performance review and lesson observations;
- assessment, monitoring, recording and reporting;
- learning support;
- the provision for the more able, gifted and talented;
- staff induction, performance review, training and research;
- the behaviour for learning policy and pupil support;
- tutoring;
- the house system;
- careers and work related experience;
- business studies, Enterprise, partnerships;
- assemblies;
- citizenship;
- health education, food and nutrition, child protection and welfare.
Our Extended Learning Programme challenges all children particularly catering for our scholars and more able pupils. Trips and excursions both in this country and abroad are organised to contribute to our range of exciting learning opportunities.
