Pupils thrive on achieving personal satisfaction, attaining goals and by being part of a team
The National Curriculum is used as a minimum framework which we extend in many different ways providing a wide variety of courses and qualifications. Teaching is stimulating and forward thinking so that the learning is an exciting, challenging and enjoyable experience.
Pupils are given the opportunity to take around 10 external qualifications including GCSE, IGCSE and BTECS during this stage. There is a core experience for all learners and a range of options designed to meet the needs of the individual. We have a flexible approach offering short courses and the opportunity for some pupils to sit examinations early. Links are developed with local businesses, charities and educational establishments as these relationships help to enrich the pupils’ experience preparing them for the challenges of higher education and beyond. Our Extended Learning Programme also provides opportunities for pupils to explore their interests and to undertake additional study including careers guidance and life skills.
