The Junior children (Years 3 to 6) enjoy being in their own building and having their own tutor. The curriculum continues to be based upon the National Curriculum – Personal, Social and Health Education, English, Mathematics, History, Geography, Science, ICT, PE, Music , Art and Design Technology.
Access to specialist teachers and facilities including Modern Foreign Languages, Science, Food and Nutrition, ICT, Music, Art and PE enables children to continue to raise their levels of achievement. Our extended learning programme provides further opportunities to develop a range of skills and talents including Philosophy, Environmental Studies and Mandarin.
Teachers have high expectations of work and behaviour providing opportunities for everyone to develop their talents and leadership skills.
The children particularly benefit form having the senior pupils as role models. Transfer to the seniors is seamless as the children are academically and personally well prepared and they are familiar with the staff, building, grounds and older pupils.
