International Baccalaureate
GEMS Sherfield has now gained the status of IB World School and offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme in the Sixth Form.
The IB programme allows all the specialisms usually catered for within A-Levels but maintains, at the same time, a breadth which many students, potential employers and universities will find particularly appealing. The IB Diploma provides a highly marketable qualification within the increasingly international workplace of the future. The IB is accepted for university entry in the UK and world-wide. In the current UCAS Guide to University Entry, all universities describe typical offers based on the IB alongside those made for A-Levels.
Day students from local schools may transfer to Sherfield after successfully completing their GCSEs elsewhere.
Sherfield can offer full boarding for boys and girls aged from 14 – 18 years in our boarding house,‘Broadstairs’. Flexi boarding for day pupils is also available.
